About Ordestra
Scientific publications are the foundation of evidence-based medicine, but the format hasn't evolved in 200 years. The people who need to consume this evidence — MSLs, Medical Directors, MA teams — are drowning in PDFs they don't have time to read properly.
AI can summarize papers. What AI cannot do without deliberate constraint architecture is summarize them in a way that a pharma company's MLR team would approve. That gap — between “fluent summary” and “compliant summary” — is the entire product.
Ordestra is built by researchers, scientists, and medical affairs professionals who live the problem daily. The constraint engine isn't something a generalist AI startup can reverse-engineer by reading guidelines — it requires the accumulated judgment of people who have sat in MLR review meetings, managed MSL teams, and been accountable for compliant scientific communications.
Why Audio?
Audio fits the consumption context. MSLs prepare on commutes. Medical Directors review between meetings. Congress attendees need summaries during travel. Text summaries compete with the papers themselves. Audio creates a new consumption moment that didn't exist before — and has no incumbent in scientific communications.
Voice synthesis has crossed a quality threshold. A well-voiced Ordestra summary sounds like a colleague presenting at a journal club, not an AI reading a script. The “uncanny valley” objection is gone for professional use cases.
Built Different
Deterministic Constraints
The constraint engine uses hard rules mapped to study design. The LLM operates within boundaries set by these rules. Compliance decisions are never delegated to AI.
Audio-Native
Audio fits the consumption context — commutes, meeting prep, travel. Text summaries compete with the papers themselves. Audio creates a new moment for evidence consumption.
Audit Trail
Every output includes an immutable audit record: extraction mode, constraints applied, claim boundaries, verification results, and citation anchors. Built for MLR review.
